Bloomberg Indonesia Stocks: Bakrie Sumatera, Kalbe Farma, Kimia, Timah

Shares of the following companies had unusual moves in Indonesia trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses, and prices are as of the 4 p.m. local-time close.

The Jakarta Composite index climbed 4.21 points, or 0.1 percent, to 3,569.14, rising for a third day. The measure fell 1.7 percent this week.

Rubber producers: PT Perusahaan Perkebunan London Sumatra Indonesia (LSIP IJ), Indonesia’s second-largest listed plantation company, gained 2.5 percent to 12,350 rupiah. PT Bakrie Sumatera Plantations
(UNSP IJ) rose 1.3 percent to 385 rupiah. Rubber climbed to an all-time high for a third day. The June-delivery contract gained as high as 457.8 yen per kilogram ($5,549 a metric ton) in after-hours trading in Tokyo.

PT Kalbe Farma (KLBF IJ), the Indonesian pharmaceutical company, rose 2.5 percent to 3,050 rupiah. Kalbe Farma plans to spend as much as 1 trillion rupiah ($110 million) to buy drug- manufacturing plants this year, Investor Daily reported, citing Vidjongtius, corporate secretary at the company. Vidjongtius couldn’t be reached when called at his office in Jakarta.

PT Kimia Farma (KAEF IJ), the state-run pharmaceutical company, gained 1.3 percent to 156 rupiah. Kimia Farma will pay 30 percent of its 2009 net income, or about 19 billion rupiah, as a dividend, the Indonesian pharmaceutical company said in a statement published in Bisnis Indonesia today. The dividend will be paid Feb. 14, the statement said.

PT Timah (TINS IJ), Indonesia’s biggest tin producer, fell 0.9 percent to 2,650 rupiah. The company’s production this year may not exceed last year’s level as weather could disrupt mining, Timah Corporate Secretary Abrun Abubakar said today.
