Bakrie Sumatra Gains Wiped Out - The Indonesia Today

Substantial correction of 10.2% in the week of August 5th has wiped out gains of Bakrie Sumatra Plantations (UNSP) this year.

Bakrie Sumatra's gain year-to-date tumbled to 1.3% only. The stock dropped 42.8% from its recent peak of Rp690.

But the biggest losers in plantation sector this year are Astra Agro Lestari and Gozco Plantations, which lost 17.4% respectively, including 6.7% and 5.3% correction this week.

Top gainers in the sector are Tunas Baru Lampung with 51.7% and Salim Ivomas (+12.7%). Elsewhere in the region, Indofood Agri lost 47.5% year-to-date, while GoldenAgri and KencanaAgri dropped 15% and 15.2% respectively.

Crude palm oil (CPO), meanwhile, has dropped 24% since February 2011 to RM3,051 per ton on Friday (August 5th)
