JAKARTA, April 27 (Reuters) - Following is a list of events in Indonesia as well as news stories and press reports which may influence financial markets.


MARKET SNAPSHOT
• Asian stocks are set for a strong start on Wednesday as a pleasing round of earnings from major U.S. companies revived economic optimism and raised hopes of further gains for equity markets.STOCKS-NEWS-ASIA• Indonesia's market .JKSE fell 0.36 percent on Tuesday with Astra International ASII.JK leading market turnover, down 1.46 percent, and Energi Mega Persada ENRG.JK seeing at top volume, up 8.51 percent.

• A fresh batch of corporate results pushed U.S. stocks to their best levels since June 2008 on Tuesday, renewing optimism that profit growth will remain resilient enough to keep equities on the rise..N• Brent crude edged up in volatile trading while U.S. crude ended little changed on Tuesday as investors eyed a U.S. Federal Reserve two-day policy meeting for any signal of a change in monetary policy.O/R• Malaysian palm oil futures hit a near one-week low on Tuesday, as concerns about a higher production cycle, falling comparative oils and export numbers from the previous session weighed on prices.
