The Indonesia Today MNCN Posts 94% Net Profit Growth in 2010

Media giant PT Media Nusantara Citra (MNCN) Tbk, parent company of RCTI, booked net profit of Rp748 billion last year, surged 94% from 2009 on strong advertising revenues growth.

MNCN said in a press statement today that it recorded 27% growth in consolidated revenues to Rp4.99 trillion last year, on solid advertising growth of 32% to Rp3.718 trillion and content/VAS growth of 20% to Rp904 billion.

EBITDA in 2010 surged substantially by 86% to Rp1.44 trillion with EBITDA margin increased from 20% to 29%.

TV ads still dominates MNCN's consolidated revenues, contributing 69%, of which RCTI contributed 63% of the total revenues from TV ads, followed by MNCTV of 22% and Global TB of 15%.

MNCN claimed its three free-to-air TV stations had cumulatively captured the largest audience share as compared to other TV stations with 37% average audience share, increased from 35% in 2009. MNCN claimed that RCTI is still the number one TV station in Indonesia.
