Ciputra Development Posts 80% Profit Growth - The Indonesia Today

Property developer PT Ciputra Development Tbk (CTRA) posted net profit of Rp257.96 billion in 2010, increased 89% from Rp136.33 billion in previous year. It recorded net earning per share (EPS) of Rp17, compared to Rp10 a year earlier.
Revenue rose 27% to Rp1.69 trillion from Rp1.33 trillion in 2009 while cost of good sold and direct cost also increased to Rp957.98 billion.

It booked gross profit of Rp734.7 billion, higher than Rp599.31 billion a previous year. Operating cost increased slightly to Rp392.88 billion, then operating profit reached Rp341.82 billion, a 20% increase compared to earlier Rp283.84 billion.

Other income also jumped to Rp137.64 billion from previous Rp18.51 billion as loss of foreign exchange (forex) dropped to Rp31.52 billion from Rp102.39 billion in 2009.

As of December 31, 2010, CTRA's assets totaled Rp9.38 trillion while liability amounted Rp2.13 trillion. It has a huge cash of Rp2.24 trillion.
