How do you spell growth? Try: I-N-D-O-N-E-S-I-A - CLSA

Interesting report from Nick Cashmore. Glad to be a simple broker in Indonesia, Nick pointed out that Indo economy has doubled in five years and, by our forecasts, will reach US$1.0tn in 2012, making it the 15th largest economy in the world.

The chart below shows the percentage change in GDP per capita over the last five years. Little wonder Indonesian stocks have been among Asia's best performing over the same period. Look at the first three countries: that's Chindonesia in action.

What drives Indo growth? (1) people, big and young population (2) resources: coal and CPO in particular.
